As a US Marine and Horse Trainer, I have the honor of assisting the participants in understanding the horse.
With my Military perspective, and years of horse experience on cattle ranches in Wyoming, to rodeo and show arenas in Florida, I am able to enhance the participants' ability to deepen their bond with these majestic creatures.
The use of equine friends allows the participants to demonstrate courage, build confidence and nurture a connection.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), I offer a supportive and non-judgmental approach to a better life. I am also a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200 Pose By Pose Yoga) with classes offered around the community. I have also been trained in Street Yoga and Warriors at Ease, providing a safe space and feel for trauma survivors.
People mainly want to feel heard, seen, and understood. People want purpose in their lives and a reason to believe. This is what inspires my work. My clients are brave and willing to embrace the changes that come with healing the mind. They come from all different backgrounds and are not a specific “type.” They share a common thread, of suffering and the need for guidance to find their way out of dark times. My clients have overcome some of life’s greatest tragedies. They inspire me, truly. My clients are beautiful humans in a messy and complex world. They are doing the best they can, with what they have.
If you are motivated to find a better way of thinking, feeling, and living, let’s book a session!
In everyone’s life there are decisions to make and challenges to overcome. As we grow and evolve, we may not even recognize ourselves. These transitions can be difficult to accept at times, but ultimately, they are required for all men and women on this Earth.
Long before Dr. Damon became a holistic, healing practitioner, he was in search of healing for himself. He went through the conventional medical merry-go-round and eventually got off in worse shape than when he got on. As is the case for many people, the medical system poisoned him for decades before he finally came to the realization that he had to take his health into his own hands.
Although often well-meaning, the years of mistreatment, misdiagnosis, & outright medical abuse depleted his energy reserves. However, he was eventually able to discover the foundations of healing through his own exploration. These are the natural laws which all life must abide by in order to thrive on this planet. His journey back to wellness was at times arduous, but it revealed inner strength and courage that he was not even sure he possessed. From that experience, he found his purpose in life – to guide others from the depths of despair to a place of profound joy which can only materialize once the mind, body, & spirit receive enough nourishment.
Dr. Damon recognizes that one of the early sparks for his healing journey was joining the US Army. This was his Right of Passage. Leaving his extended adolescence to become a man. A major transition to say the least. He did not know it at the time, but this is when the power of tribe came into his life. His Band of Brothers. No longer caring solely about his own survival. He had a platoon of misfits that faced both war and boredom head-on together. Mostly boredom, but also some moments of active engagement with the enemy.
Tribe, community, and support systems are now paramount in his alternative medicine practice. His main contributions, and what sets him apart from his colleagues, are the ability to understand the person, to see the big picture, and to develop a treatment plan which truly suits them. He utilizes chiropractic, functional medicine, homeopathy, quantum healing, circadian biology, bioregulatory medicine, herbalism, nutrition counseling, naturopathic interventions, and much more. Our team of experienced counselors uses a variety of evidence-based techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness practices, to help our clients overcome negative thought patterns and behaviors. We believe in a holistic approach to mental health, addressing both the mind and body.
Austin is medically retired from the United States Army from injuries received from multiple combat tours to Afghanistan as an infantryman. His journey post-injury to medical retirement has taken him through a system broken in many ways. Undaunted by an often labyrinthian process, he instead made significant connections within the Department of Veterans Affairs, cultivating positive relationships.
Drawing on his own experience navigating this new set of battles at home, Austin is dedicating his retirement time to help veterans connect who are suffering and isolating post combat to be 'at Rest' and heal.
